Even when you love someone, you can still make mistakes. But you should never do these 10 things, especially to the person you love.

1. He camouflages the truth
Secrets in marriage will destroy your relationship. It doesn’t matter what you’re lying about or how small the lie is. If you’re hiding things from each other, your marriage will fall apart unless honesty becomes your new policy.
2. He shares your secrets
Think about a time where someone you loved shared one of your deepest secrets with someone else. It probably created a serious dent in your relationship – maybe that damage was never repaired. If he loves you, he’ll keep your secrets between the two of you.
3. He loses his temper in public
Acting out in front of others causes embarrassment for yourself and everyone around you. A husband who loves you can control his anger in public and in private.
4. He stops taking care of you
Protecting and caring for another person are signs you’re truly in love. If your husband stops caring for your physical or emotional needs, talk to him and visit a therapist if needed.
5. He makes you earn affection
Physical affection should be given willingly, not something to be dangled in front of you as bait. If he doesn’t want to cuddle or kiss or uses it as a threat (such as withholding sex as punishment), it’s a sign he’s not truly in love.
6. He disrespects your family
No matter how terrible the situation may be, he has no right to disrespect your family. When a man marries a woman, he marries her family, too (and vice versa). If he truly loves you, he will never cross that line.
7. He makes everything a competition
Competition is healthy but only in the right place, at the right time and with the right person. If he loves you, he will motivate you to reach your goals, take on new challenges and will be there every step of the way to cheer you on. In a relationship, your partner’s achievements are your achievements, too. It’s never a competition because you always want to build each other up and see each other succeed.
8. He makes you carry the full load
Marriage is not 50-50; it’s 100-100. If he loves you, he’ll put his full effort into the relationship. He won’t leave you trying to do everything on your own. If you love him back, you’ll do the same.
9. He seeks out other women
Marrying someone doesn’t magically make you immune to finding another person attractive. What matters is what we do about those feelings. Don’t put yourself in situations where you could be tempted to cheat. Your husband will do the same if he truly loves you.
10. He never recognizes his own mistakes
Acknowledging your mistakes is one of the most sublime ways to show your spouse you love them more than yourself. On the contrary, if your pride overshadows your desire to ask for forgiveness, you’re more in love with your ego than your spouse.
